numbers are meant to highlight the darkness in the holder's heart and fuuya's is the shoes he has to fill; it's easier this way, where he doesn't have to deal with that second life of being a failure, of not amounting to anything
he hasn't forgotten who he used to be; he remembers every second of it. but he is robin now, and the past no longer matters.
(and every moment of his life is a quest to overthrow the tyranny of dead max, and keep the world around him safe from the same; that's why he's concerned himself with numbers other than his own, that's why he'd do near anything to get them and keep them safe from dead max's clutches)
